Use Gather Shot when you want guests to see prompts and submit photos in the same place. Start with a short list, such as a team pose, a table detail and a handwritten wish for the host.
Gather Shot tracks each guest’s completed prompts and groups submissions for review. You choose teams, judge photos, award points and announce winners. There is no automatic team scoring or leaderboard.
If you only need a quick game, a printed checklist and phone cameras may be enough. If automatic scoring is essential, choose a tool built for that.
How it works
From host setup to guest uploads
Guests: choose a challenge
Guests scan your QR code or open your link, choose a prompt and submit a photo or video. They use their browser without an app download or guest account. Wait for the upload to finish before closing the page.
Host: review the responses
Open the hunt dashboard to review submissions by prompt. Check your moderation settings before sharing the gallery. If you are playing for points, keep a separate score sheet and choose the winners yourself.

- Run the hunt within your event’s upload window. Pause participation when you need to stop new responses, and check that uploads are open before guests begin.
- Review before public sharing
- Turn on approval before photos appear in the public gallery. Guests can still see their own pending uploads. Gallery access and moderation settings control what others can see.
- Personal completion progress
- Guests see which prompts they have answered and how many remain. Completion progress is not a judged score. The host decides whether a response earns points.

Do guests need to download an app to play?
No. Guests open your event QR code or link in their phone’s browser. They do not need a guest account. Your event settings may ask for details or consent before uploading.
Which plans include scavenger hunts?

Who sees the photos guests submit?
Hosts and authorized event team members can review submissions. Guests can see their own uploads. With approval required, pending photos stay out of the public gallery. Approved photos can appear there if you enable public gallery access.
Does Gather Shot score teams or choose a winner?
No. It tracks personal prompt completion and collects responses. You set the rules, check the photos, keep team scores and choose a winner yourself.
Can guests play without Wi-Fi?
Uploads need an internet connection, through Wi-Fi or mobile data. With poor reception, use a saved prompt list and take photos with the phone camera. Return to the hunt and upload when connected, while the hunt and upload window are open. Do not rely on automatic offline uploads.
